WHAT THIS GROUP IS ABOUT: Purpose, Content, Rules of the group
This group is for people in the Medford and Southern Oregon/Northern California area (Yreka to Grants Pass and Klamath Falls to the coast give or take). While our Northern California folks are welcome, the site is about carrying IN OREGON.
PURPOSE: To serve as a gathering point for any and all that are interested in and support one or more of the following:
---The Second Amendment
---Open Carry
---Concealled Carry
---The Second Amendment March (April 19, 2010 nationwide)
---FREEDOM
RULES OF THE GROUP:(most definitely subject to suggestions, changes, and editing)
RULE #1) This is my site, I am never wrong.
RULE # 2) In the unlikely event that I am ever wrong, refer to Rule #1.
Okay, just kidding, here are the real rules.
1) Members must be from the geopgraphical area described above unless you are a nationally recognized supporter of the 2nd Amendment.
2) This site is about LEGAL and RESPONSIBLE ownership and carry. Encouraging, promoting, or otherwise advocating any illegal activities will not be tolerated. This is not a forum for extremists but rather a place for those supportive of the Constitution, the 2nd Amendment in particular, and the Right to Keep and Bear arms. Some may be extremists, and they are welcome, but keep it civil and legal.
3) Keep topics on the topic of firearms rights, carry, the law, related activities, etc. This page is not a general discussion forum on polticis, religion, the current President, etc.
4) Links to firearms related sites are welcome but any to spam/membership sites not directly related to Second Amendment issues (i.e. firearms, carry, gun control, etc.) will not be allowed. If you have any question in your mind, message me and see if it's okay.
5) Law enforcement officers and officials will be welcome and will be treated the same as any other member.
6) Anti-gun types will not be allowed. I don't want to hear their whining and I'm sure you don't either. I may make exception for a law enforcement officer or official so long as they are respectful and recognize the legality of carrying in Oregon.
7) Profanity, personal attacks, LEO bashing (criticism of specific events is not bashing), etc. will not be tolerated. I believe in ALL of the Constitution and Bll of Rights but this is MY site and the Bill of Rights protects you from GOVERNMENT, not individuals. Your free speech here is subject to my rules. If you have any questions on that, refer to rule number 1.
8) Any statements about THE LAW or CASE LAW and what it says will carry a lot more weight if you either provide a link to the law or at the minimum the source (statute, section, and subsection of law or the legal case identifier).
9) If you find yourself in a legal situation to do with firearms you are welcome to give us a short blurb about it so that we know but DO NOT DISCUSS IT ON THIS OR ANY OTHER PUBLIC FORUM as government agents (police, district attorneys, etc.) have been known to frequent such sites and they can and will twist your statements against you. Your best bet in such an instance is to obtain a lawyer and only release that information that your attorney authorizes.
